Beauty’s conversation is shifting from reversing age to preserving vitality. Prevention, maintenance and whole-body health are quickly becoming the new language of the category.
For decades, beauty was built around the language of correction: anti-aging, wrinkle reduction, damage repair. Increasingly, that vocabulary feels out of step with how consumers are thinking about themselves. The conversation is moving toward longevity, prevention and maintenance—not simply looking younger, but keeping skin, hair and body functioning and feeling their best for longer.
The numbers reinforce the shift. In the first half of 2026, prestige skincare grew 9%, but some of the most interesting growth happened beyond traditional facial skincare: body care rose 16%, sun care 19%, and prestige hair serums nearly 60%. Consumers are thinking more holistically about skin health, scalp health, body health, SPF, hormonal changes and preventative treatments as interconnected parts of one larger wellness routine. According to Circana, this broader focus on whole-body wellness and prevention is helping fuel beauty growth.
On our ingredient radar: NAD+. Sometimes referred to as the “fountain of youth molecule,” NAD+ plays an important role in cellular energy metabolism and processes including DNA repair. Research suggests NAD+ levels decline in some tissues as we age, although the extent—and the benefits of supplementation in humans—are still being studied. TIMEBEAM has made NAD+ support a hero across its portfolio, offering both topical and ingestible formats as part of an inside-out approach to longevity.
Our KSJC POV
The face is no longer the whole beauty routine—and that is creating enormous opportunity across body, hair, scalp, devices, supplementation and preventative care.
